Let’s go back to Ireland!

Fifty of our favorite friends are headed back to Ireland in October 2025 — our 30th Trip (!) from the Shannon Pub.  

This is a Coach-Guided tour of the Republic of Ireland.  

From the moment we land in Dublin, we take care of transportation, hotel rooms, and full Irish Breakfasts every morning.  We include tours to Guinness Brewery, the Cliffs of Moher, and Cobh Heritage Centre, among other incredible stops.  The days we’re not traveling between towns, we’ll have optional day trips to places like Avoca, Connemara, Ring of Kerry, and Blarney Castle.

You are on your own for lunch and dinner every day, which leaves you plenty of time to explore and make friends with the locals.  They don’t bite. We will recommend places to go each day and invite you to join us if you like.  

We are collecting deposits now to hold the fifty spaces available. 

There will also be a check-gathering party to pay the balance and meet fellow travelers.  Details will follow via email.

  • Day One

    October 18th, Saturday

    Meet at the Buffalo Airport’s Anchor Bar roughly two hours ahead of flight

  • Day Two

    October 19th, Sunday

    Drive to Galway this morning straight from Dublin Airport! We should get in around lunchtime. All day on your own in Galway.

  • Day Three

    October 20th, Monday

    Optional Day Tour today to Connemara, Cong, TBD.

  • Day Four

    October 21st, Tueday

    Great scenic drive today as we head from Galway to Killarney! Featuring the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, and Durty Nelly’s.

    Into Killarney for Dinner.

  • Day Five

    October 22nd, Wednesday

    Optional Day Trip to Blarney Castle, Cobh, etc.

  • Day Six

    October 23rd, Thursday

    Optional Day Trip to Dingle Peninsula, Town of Dingle, and take a ride on the Jaunting Cars.

    October 24th, Friday

    Load up the bus and head to Dublin, stopping for lunch in Kilkenny.

    All Day and Night in Dublin!

    October 25th, Saturday

    Optional Day Trip to include places like Glendalough, Avoca, Bray, Wicklow Mountains

    Plenty of time to walk Dubin, visit Book of Kells at Trinity, Pubs, Temple Bar, etc.

  • Day Nine

    October 26th, Sunday

    Leave early and head back to Dublin Airport for the Flight Home.

    Time for an Irish Coffee and Duty Free at the airport.

    Sleep like a baby in your own bed.

  • I need a photocopy of your passport, email address, phone number, emergency contact name and phone number. For each passenger. No passport yet? Apply soon! We need it for the airlines well ahead of the flight.

  • Our long-time guide/driver Dave has retired from driving, unfortunately! He has, however, promised to meet us for a pint when we get to Killarney. So, we’re not sure who his replacement will be, but I’m confident he’ll be fun. And knowledgeable. And funny! Oh, and a good, safe driver. With that in mind, we require a minimum 30 Euros (currently at $1.10/Euro) gratuity, and ask each person to give it to him personally at some point during the week.
